Speed sensor selection manual

One: passive speed sensor:
Gear material: the gear is made of a metal material with strong magnetic permeability;
Tooth shape: involute tooth shape is the most suitable tooth shape;
Gear modulus: 2 to 4, tooth width b: greater than 5 mm;

Two: Active speed sensor:
Gear material: the gear is made of a metal material with strong magnetic permeability;
Tooth shape: involute tooth or square tooth;

Three: Description:
In the case of a passive speed sensor, it is recommended to use an involute toothed gear so that the output waveform is shaped like a sine wave;
If it uses a square gear, its output waveform may be of the type shown below:


The output remains at zero time for too long (and the hold time is related to the length of the tip and the length of the bottom of the tooth), which increases the possibility of zero interference, if the sensor is zero
Interfered with, and the back-end system uses zero-crossing comparator demodulation, the demodulated speed can not truly reflect the speed of the field gear.
